LONDON - Burger King has launched a TV campaign intended to promote the quality of its burgers.

A 30-second spot, created by Crispin Porter + Bogusky, features a character called Steve Fargus who refuses to believe that Burger King can serve quality 100% certified Aberdeen Angus beef. The ad exposes Steve as an 'Aberdeen Angus atheist', with a man following him about his daily business with a loudhailer ensuring everyone knows of his mistake.

A 10-second execution, which will air on 28 November, will show Steve apologising for his error.

The campaign will run for eight weeks and will also introduce a limited-edition Smoked BBQ Angus burger, which contains no additives or preservatives and is topped with smoked bacon, smoked cheddar and BBQ sauce.

The burger's launch will also be supported by point-of-sale activity.
