LONDON - Asda is offering free digital copies of the top 100 consumer magazines to the first 10,000 people to sign up for its online sales partnership with John Menzies Digital.

The service will allow customers to purchase digital versions of top UK consumer magazines to download to their computers instantly.

The launch will be supported with an introductory offer enabling consumers to try the service for free. Titles include Nuts, Red, Chat, Heat, Stuff and Top Gear.

The offer will close by November 31. The service will also be promoted across Asda.com, in addition to a range of direct customer communications through email and its customer magazine.

Tony Prescott, multi-channel trading director at Asda Stores, said: "Since launch, Asda Direct has gone from strength to strength and we believe this to be an important addition to the site. We will continue to develop further content to maximise customers' shopping experience."

Sarah Clegg, managing director of John Menzies Digital, says: "A partnership with a household name such as Asda is a perfect platform for us to take our technology to a mainstream UK audience."
