Cochrane leaves Channel 4 for Warner Bros
LONDON - Warner Brothers has appointed Polly Cochrane, Channel 4's director of marketing, to the newly created role of vice president of group marketing for Warner Brothers UK.
Channel 4 announced in October that Cochrane was leaving her position after 10 years at the broadcaster and that she will take up her new role next April. Cochrane will take a seat on the Warner Brothers UK executive board and will be responsible for marketing across its film, home video, TV, digital, games and consumer products operation.

She will oversee 44 staff and report into Warner Brothers UK president and managing director, Josh Berger. ‘Polly is one of the most respected marketers of her generation with a proven track record of innovation and creativity that's second to none,' said Berger.
At Channel 4 Cochrane was credited with the development of multi-platform products including E4, More4, 4 Music and 4oD. Her departure came as Channel 4 said it was aiming to save £100m this year with a number of restructures throughout the business including that of its overall marketing operation.
Cochrane has also held marketing roles at the Guardian and the Observer as well as Channel Five.
