Five review under way as consultants move in
LONDON - Five has selected independent consultants Eden McCallum to assist the broadcaster to carry out a "root and branch" review of its business.
A spokesman for Five confirmed that Eden McCallum would start tomorrow (20 November), having been appointed by the company to undertake the review announced by chief executive Dawn Airey in October.

It is understood that no decisions or changes are expected to be implemented until the New Year, with a careful assessment of the business being carried out before any alternations are made.
Eden McCallum's other media clients include Virgin Media, Trinity Mirror, the BBC and Reuters.
On 27 October, just one day after joining Five as chief executive, Airey warned staff to expect redundancies. She called a meeting to discuss the need for a detailed look at Five and to set in motion the search for a consultancy to work on the review.
A Five spokesman confirmed at the time: "Five is to conduct a review of its structures and processes, in conjunction with a business consulting firm, to reduce costs and deliver the best possible value to both our shareholders and viewers."
