Sky Mobile TV widens distribution

LONDON - Sky Mobile TV is now available to 3 UK customers as well as people on Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile.

Sky's Mobile TV includes the family of Sky Sports channels, Sky News, At The Races and CNN, available monthly for a flat fee of £5 or £1 per day.

The launch sees the service made available 'off-portal' for the first time, meaning that Sky is hosting the service outside of 3's own portal. Accessed via the operator's 'Planet 3' portal, the Sky Mobile TV service will be delivered via a dedicated video server.

Sky Mobile TV was launched in 2005. In 2007 Sky also launched 24-7 Football which provides in-game goal clips and after match highlights for all FA Premier League and UEFA Champions League matches.
