Ford relaunches website
LONDON - Ford has revamped its customer website (www.ford.co.uk), offering detailed information for car and van buyers and allowing people to book test drives at their nearest Ford dealer.
Ford said the website was a ‘natural progression of Ford's 'Feel the Difference' campaign'.
Visitors to the site can research the price and specification of cars and vans, and a vehicle configuration feature allows users to specify the vehicle of their choice according to criteria including budget, body style, fuel type and number of seats.

Visitors can also scan and download electronic versions of the latest car and van details in PDF eBrochure formats.

The homepage doesn't work in IE6, which is a shame for around 30% of users.

If it's not working in IE6 then is is a fundamental failure on behalf of the developers. I can't even see it as our corporate firewall blocks it! Surely it's basic pre launch checking that the site will work in IE6, IE7, Firefox, Safari and Chrome as well as some of the other browsers as well as mobile and PDA browsers. Unless of course they have been so arrogant as to say to themselves, if they won't upgrade their browser then they won't upgrade their car.
