Moet champagne backs Sky Oscars coverage
LONDON - Champagne house Moet & Chandon is to sponsor Sky's coverage of the Oscars and Golden Globes - the brand's first TV sponsorship agreement.
The on-air campaign activity for the 81st Academy Awards, to be held on 22 February, and the 66th Golden Globes, which takes place on 11 January, began on 1 January and will run until the end of next month.

The campaigns incorporate branding of all of Sky's live broadcast coverage and support programming across linear broadcast, online, on-demand, interactive and digital text.
The agreement will also incorporate an opportunity to win tickets to next year's awards ceremony through a branded Sky website. There will also be an opportunity to win an all-expenses-paid weekend in Cannes, supported by a feature in Sky Movies Magazine, alongside a red button interactive campaign.
Highlights of the deal include branding on a dedicated month-long season of Oscar-winning movies featuring more than 80 titles and Oscar programming across Sky1 (HD), Sky2, Sky3, Sky Arts 1 (HD) Sky News, and The Biography Channel.
Credits will incorporate opening and closing billboards and break bumpers on Sky's live broadcast of the Oscars ceremony, Sky News Oscars Reports, Red Carpet Arrivals special, extended highlights, and all associated Oscars features. In addition there will be a five-minute, full-screen audio-visual bumper on all Sky Movies cross-network promos.
Sponsorship of The Golden Globes will include all programming across Sky Movies channels, Sky1, Sky2, and Sky3, incorporating five-minute full screen audio-visual bumper on all Sky Movies cross-network promos, break bumpers and billboard credits.
