Mediabrands appoints George for new digital role
LONDON - Mediabrands, the holding company for Interpublic-owned Universal McCann and Initiative, has appointed digital marketer Quentin George to the new role of chief digital officer.
He will be responsible for developing partnerships and alliances as the group looks to enhance its digital offerings.
George will continue with his role leading Universal McCann's new media and digital practice in addition to his new position.

Nick Brien, chief executive and president of Mediabrands, said: "To help our clients navigate the new world with speed and sophistication, Quentin will constantly examine investments and partnership in digital areas such as mobile, search and social platforms."
George joined Universal McCann as global lead of digital media and strategic innovation in April 2007.
Prior to this, he served as chief of corporate development and managing director for US digital marketing agency Organic, where the group claims he grew the business substantially.
Interpublic, which created Mediabrands last year to manage all of its media-related assets, employs 6,500 communications specialists and operates across 90 countries.
