Waterloo Road returns with 4.6m viewers on BBC One
LONDON - School drama 'Waterloo Road' returned to BBC One for a fourth season last night, pulling in 4.6m viewers, according to unofficial overnight figures.
The long-running drama, set in a fictional school in Rochdale and starring Eva Pope and Neil Morrissey, attracted an 18.4% share of the 8pm-9.30pm audience.
It was followed by documentary series 'On the Fiddle?', looking at the work of benefit fraud investigators, which drew 4m viewers and a 16.9% share of the 9.30pm-10pm audience to BBC One.
ITV1's 'Taggart', which this week saw the team investigating a mutilated body discovered by some standing stones on a remote island, scored 4.2m viewers and a 17.3% share of the 9pm-10pm audience.
'Celebrity Big Brother' pulled in 3.3m viewers and a 13.7% share of the 9pm-10pm audience, including Channel 4+1 figures.
Last night saw the housemates treating head of house Terry Christian like a king, including rapper Coolio scrubbing his back in the bath, in order to win a party.
'Rick Stein's Memoirs of a Seafood Chef', covering the chef's successful fish restaurant and TV career, attracted 2.4m viewers and a 10.4% share of the 9pm to 10.30pm audience to BBC Two.
Five's airing of Wesley Snipes action thriller 'Murder at 1600' netted 1.2m viewers and a 5.9% share of the 9pm-11.15pm audience.
