LONDON - Discount retailer Aldi has started offering customers holiday deals to various beach, ski and city destinations.

Aldi Travel, which launched this week, offers consumers holiday packages to destinations including Spain, Turkey, Egypt, Cyprus, Greece and Portugal, among others.

The chain will offer around six exclusive holiday deals fortnightly on a first come, first served basis.

All packages can be booked through Aldi's website.

Aldi Travel also offers Supplier Failure Cover (SFC) within the price, meaning in the event of an incident, any aspect of the holiday up to the value of £5,000, will be replaced including flights, accommodation and transfers.

Rival supermarket chain Asda also offers a holiday booking service from its website.
