Magic stays ahead in London
LONDON - Magic has topped the list of London's most popular commercial radio stations for the fourth quarter running, with a listening share of 6% to second-placed Heart's 5%, according to the Rajar figures for the fourth quarter of 2008.
The Bauer Radio-owned station increased its share from 5.8% in the third quarter while its Global Radio rival dropped down from 5.7%.
Magic's reach climbed 5.9% to 3,000 listeners short of 2m, while Heart's also rose slightly to 1.79m.

Capital remained in third place in the commercial line-up but its share fell from 5.4% to 4.8%, compared to Radio 1's fall from 6.1% to 5.4%.
Bauer's Kiss 100 FM also declined, from 4.8% to 4.2%, while its Global-owned rival Choice climbed from 1.6% to 2%.
Absolute Radio dropped from a 3.3% share to 3% in its first Rajar after changing its name from Virgin Radio.
In London it lost 11.2% of its listeners, dropping to 879,000 listeners per week.
This was a better performance than its 19.6% drop in national reach to 1.89m, and may partly be explained by its better FM signal in the capital.
Some listeners may have crossed over to Xfm, which registered a 9.7% increase in reach to 508,000; this helped its share climb from 1.2% to 1.3%.
Talk station LBC dropped from 3.7% to 3.6%.

Magic has actually been number 1 in London commercially for 8 quaters in a row, not 4, as you have stated above.
