Farzad Jamal, digital director at Express Newspapers, said: "Adtarget allows us to go direct to the advertiser, as we do offline. It's the best kind of enabling technology. It means we get a better quality of advertising and can control what goes in front of our consumers easily and appropriately; it also means we make decent page ad revenues".
AdTarget is Adprecision's search and contextual advertising system that allows publishers to negotiate directly with advertisers and serve their ads straight onto various sites. It includes the option of making available third-party backfill ads from networks such as Yahoo!.
As well as the Express Group, AdTarget is used by News International, The Telegraph Media Group and Hearst Digital among others.
