Asda to launch its own YouTube channel
LONDON - Asda is planning to launch a YouTube channel offering consumers advice and the opportunity to share tips on saving money.
The channel, which will be titled Saving You Money, is the supermarket’s latest move to adapt the brand to the downturn.
Asda has also announced it is planning to drop bogofs and return to its 'everyday low prices' strategy. The supermarket has said bogofs 'baffle' consumers.

Lack of transparency is one of the criticisms leveled against bogofs. Detractors say the customer might be getting two for the price of one, but question what determines the price of the single item.
In place of bogofs Asda is planning price cuts on 5000 product lines by Easter. Asda chief executive Andy Bond said: "The world has changed and businesses need to move quickly to make sure they’re giving customers what they need.
"Those that have drfited apart from their customers and failed to repond quickly to their changing needs have gone under – it’s that simple."
