LONDON - Mazda Motors UK has confirmed the appointment of Mark Cameron as its sales and marketing director.

Cameron, the former Mazda UK marketing director, was appointed head up the sales team late last year. The Japanese manufacturer has now handed Cameron control of both departments.

Cameron will report directly into UK managing director Jeremy Thomson. European marketing functions are overseen by Mazda Europe chief operating officer, Philip Waring.

According to Cameron, future marketing from the manufacturer will be less brand-driven and more focused upon getting consumers into showrooms.
