Orange creates cinema Facebook app
LONDON - Orange has launched a Facebook app to support its long-running Orange Wednesdays two-for-one cinema promotion.
The app lets consumers organise group trips to the cinema. It supports the launch of the Orange Film Club on Bebo and Facebook, which offers the latest trailers and movie reviews, a weekly digest of news and previews of up-coming films.

Consumers signing up at launch will be invited to a free screening of Sex Drive, starring Josh Zuckerman and Seth Green.
Orange head of brand communications Spencer McHugh said the application extends the brand's long association with cinema going.
"From our cult cinema ads to sponsorship of the prestigious BAFTA film awards, Orange has a longstanding association with film," he said. "The new Film Club communities give movie fans on Facebook and Bebo a place to come together and chat about the things they love most."
