ITV1's Law & Order UK pips BBC One with 5.8m viewers

LONDON - ITV1's crime drama series 'Law & Order: UK' beat BBC One's consumer show 'Rogue Traders' by 1.2m viewers, according to unofficial overnight figures.

'Law & Order: UK', starring Bradley Walsh, Freema Agyeman and Ben Daniels, pulled in 5.8m viewers and a 25% share of the 9pm-10pm audience.

A double episode of 'Rogue Traders', focusing on reckless tree surgeons in Wales and a dodgy salesman in Bradford trying to sell the team a roof-sealing product they did not need, drew 4.6m viewers and a 19.9% share of the audience.

US drama 'Heroes' attracted 1.7m viewers and a 7.3% share of the audience on BBC Two.

Channel 4 was due to air 'Watch Out! Bailiffs About' but it was taken out of the schedule because of a "contributor issue" according to a spokeswoman for the broadcaster.

Instead it aired 'Scams, Fiddles and Honest Claims', which netted 1.5m viewers and a 6.3% share of the 9pm-10pm audience. Including Channel 4+1 it reached 1.7m viewers.

Five's 'Extreme Fishing with Robson Green' saw Green heading for New Zealand on the hunt for giant hapuka, green-lipped mussels, brown trout and rock lobster. It scored 1.2m viewers and a 5.1% share of the audience.
