Postar is first to harness new Street View service
LONDON - Postar, the outdoor media measurement system, has become the first commercial media operation to harness Google's new Street View service.
Subscribers to the Postar website can now view 360-degree images of roadside panels and the environment around them before planning and buying outdoor space.
Planners and buyers can now zoom in on roadside panels through Google Earth, providing a far better understanding for agencies unable to visit every outdoor site used in their campaigns.

James Whitmore, managing director of Postar, said: "The addition of Google Street View is a way for those planning, buying or evaluating campaigns to utilise the latest technology to access our data. It's an example of Postar staying ahead of the game."
Google launched its Street View mapping services in the UK on 19 March, enabling web and mobile phone users to see 360-degree views of 25 cities throughout the country.

Street View isn't 'live' the images are recorded from atleast one month ago. Therefore any poster site built after the image was recorded will not be visible. How long before this technology is obsolete? Unless Google plan to make it 'live'.
