'Married on MySpace', which is being created in conjunction with Endemol, the television company behind 'Big Brother', will be an interactive online series in which MySpace users contribute to the planning and get to watch the actual wedding of one engaged couple.
Video submissions will be accepted on the 'Married on MySpace' profile page until April 17.
Finalists will be announced on April 24, at which time MySpace users will be able to cast their vote for their favourite couple.
MySpace users will also be able to vote on the wedding attire the couple should wear, decide where the couple should hold their respective stag and hen parties, and pick the wedding location.
The chosen couple will be announced in May when the 13-webisode series will begin. It will conclude in early August with the wedding ceremony.
The MySpace video channel and series profile page will feature a variety of exclusive content, including profiles of the wedding party, behind-the-scenes video footage, and blogs from the winning couple chronicling all the highs and lows that come with planning a wedding.
Wedding website The Knot is participating as an editorial content sponsor. As part of the cross-promotional partnership, The Knot will provide planners to guide the couple throughout the process.
Touchstone Pictures' upcoming film 'The Proposal', starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, is also sponsoring the 'Married on MySpace' series.
