The Sun to launch Johnny Vegas TV ads for Help for Heroes
LONDON - The Sun is running a campaign to encourage people to raise money for the Help for Heroes charity, which supports injured soldiers.
The campaign focuses on different ways people have raised money to date and includes billboards, direct mail and a TV ad which will first air during tonight's episode of 'Coronation Street'. The campaign was created by WCRS.

The ad is set to a rhyming voiceover provided by comedian Johnny Vegas and runs through fundraising efforts such as baking cakes and pulling trucks. It ends with the line "Thanks to all those who gave, thank you all, you good people who helped the brave" and the end frame gives out the web address thesun.co.uk/heroes.
In October The Sun launched a digital push on behalf of the charity when it offered downloads of a song by 'X-Factor' finalists. Profits from the 79p download were split between Help for Heroes and The Poppy Appeal.

Excellent stuff - News Corp does so much to support the troops. Sky One also shows The Millies, which acknowedges their achievements. Beats bloody Comic Relief/Children in Need hands down.

Excellent news, I hope it has the desired effect and raises awareness for this cause and boosts donations. I'm doing my bit in raising money for Help For Heroes by taking part in their Battlefield Bike Ride at the end of May. 350+ miles from Cherbourg to Paris in five days sounded like a good idea before Christmas!

Good work David, your legs won't thank you for it, but others will.
