LONDON - Fox International Channels is set to air its FXHD channel as a fully simulcast, high-definition version of its FX channel.

From tomorrow (24 April), debuting with the premiere of the third series of Dexter at 10pm, viewers with HD sets will be available to watch all FX shows in high definition on FXHD, via Sky Channel 165.

FXHD has previously aired some of FX's flagship shows including The Wire, Dexter, Nip Tuck, E-Ring, Brotherhood and Sleeper Cell.

It now has HD rights to all shows broadcast on FX, such as Life, Generation Kill, Breaking Bad and Burn Notice.

The company said there is a drive to ensure the best FX programmes, if available in HD, will be acquired for the channel.

Jason Thorp, managing director Fox International Channels, UK, said: "Our forte is running the high end US drama first. We can now guarantee that every minute of that premium content will also be available in high definition."
