Google Chrome TV campaign breaks in US market
LONDON - Google has insisted it has no plans to air TV ads for its Chrome browser in the UK after launching an ad campaign in the US.
The ads mark the first time Google has advertised its products on TV. They focus on the simplicity of the Chrome user-interface.
In the UK, Google has been promoting its Chrome browser on its UK homepage, billing it as ‘minimal design with sophisticated technology' to make the web faster, safer, and easier than using Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
The TV ads have been launched in the US after a video for the service was released online and Google launched a series of Chrome short films on YouTube.
Currently, these ads are being run through Google TV Ads network, Google's online service which allows advertisers to work out the most effective positioning for their TV ad campaign.
