M&S offers triple loyalty with Premium Club launch

The Premium Club costs £10 a month and is open to anyone with an M&S Money credit card.

Members get triple loyalty points on purchases made at M&S, compared with the normal one point (worth 1p) for every £1 they spend in store and £2 spent elsewhere.

They will also be sent 12 café vouchers worth £2.50 every three months, plus two vouchers when they sign up and another two when they receive their welcome pack.

The Premium Club also offers worldwide, multi-trip family travel insurance for those aged up to 80, which includes extra cover for winter sports and independent travel.

The policy, which is issued by life insurer Axa, allows up to 45 days abroad in a single trip and 17 days skiing.

M&S will also send members gifts and treats throughout the year, on their birthdays and at Christmas.

Vouchers equivalent to how much a member has earned will be sent every three months.

M&S's reward scheme is generous compared to many others including Asda's Mastercard, which offers one point (worth 1p) for every £4 spent, with quadruple points in the first three months and in December.

However it doesn't match Boots' Advantage Card, which offers four points per £1 spent.
