Thorntons launches online sweet shop

LONDON - Chocolate retailer Thorntons has launched a new online sweet shop selling over 50 types of sweets including Butterkist popcorn, Barratt's Dip Dabs, Sherbet Fountains, Fruit Salads and Black Jacks.

Thorntons will become the first major online supplier of Tangerine Confectionery products at www.thorntons.co.uk/sweetshop.

The online sweet store went live with a 3 for 2 offer and the range is priced between 99p through to £25 hamper packs.

Thorntons.co.uk also sees the return this month of the 3.5 litre Thorntons ice cream tubs at £25 each.

W H Smith, the stationery and magazine retailer, has also started selling 'pick 'n' mix' sweets in its stores in a bid to take up the slack left by the failure of Woolworths.
