Yahoo! appoints Brown to global communications role
LONDON - Yahoo! has appointed Eric Channing Brown as its senior vice president of global communications, reporting to Yahoo!'s new chief marketing officer, Elisa Steele.

Brown will oversee public relations, product promotion, public affairs, internal communications, corporate reputation management, as well as social media outreach. Brown will join the company in early July.
He replaces PR head Jill Nash, who left earlier this year.
Prior to joining Yahoo!, Brown was vice president of corporate relations at NetApp. He was involved in NetApp's recent rebranding campaign.
