The poster activity will run for two weeks from 15 June and is intended to encourage people to visit www.sarahsstory.org.uk.

48-sheet posters will be situated at 18 London Underground poster sites in Zone One and more than 80 mainline railway station sites across the country. The second week of the campaign will coincide with MND Awareness Week, which runs from 20 to 28 June.

The poster campaign follows a powerful 90-second cinema ad, which broke in January. The ad was cleared by the Advertising Standards Authority last week after viewers complained that it was offensive and distressing. The advertising body ruled that although some viewers might find it difficult to watch, it was an accurate portrayal of the disease and, in the context of raising awareness, it was justified.

Www.sarasstory.org.uk features the 90-second film as well as a written account of what happened to Sarah after she was diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
