Greg Nugent resurfaces as interim marketing director of London 2012
LONDON - Former Eurostar marketing chief Greg Nugent has joined London 2012 as interim marketing director.
Nugent, who is on a six-month contract, is taking over from Amanda Jennings, who has gone on maternity leave.
Nugent stepped down from his role at Eurostar in November. Last year he was linked to several roles, including the London 2012 marketing job. Since his departure from Eurostar Nugent is understood to have been working as a consultant. Jennings, a former sponsorship director at O2, has been with London 2012 since April 2008.
LOCOG recently appointed McCann Erickson Group to the Olympics integrated marketing account. The committee has already secured several high-profile domestic partners for London 2012; Kellogg is the latest brand rumoured to be interested in associating itself with the event.
