Charities more optimistic about economic recovery
LONDON - A growing number of charities believe economic conditions in the UK will improve over the next 12 months, according to the National Council for Voluntary Organisation's latest quarterly Charity Forecast Survey.

Overall confidence levels were up 28%, compared with the previous quarter (January to March 2009). Almost half of charity heads planned to boost their services.
However, 37% of respondents still fear that conditions may worsen for their own organisation over the next 12 months and only 31% planned to increase the number of paid staff.
