DMG pre-tax profit rises above £3m as revenues top £56m
LONDON - Digital Marketing Group has reported a 45% year-on-year rise in pre-tax profits to £3.11m for the year ended March 31.
According to DMG's preliminary results, its pre-tax profits increased from £2.15m in 2008 on the back of an 11% year-on-year increase in revenues, which rose from £50.97m to £56.65m.
The results represent post acquisition figures and comprise six months for Cyber DMG, Gasbox and Prodant, which DMG acquired in October 2008.
Stephen Davidson, chairman of Digital Marketing Group, said: "In an extremely difficult economic environment I am proud to be able to report an excellent set of results.
"This is a truly exceptional achievement in the worst market for decades and is testimony to our strategy, the skills of our people, and to the leadership of our business.
However, DMG said that the last few months of its financial year "proved very difficult". It expects the difficulties to continue in the first half of 2009/10, but believes the situation will improve by the second half.
Ben Langdon, chief executive of DMG, said: "The long term strategic vision for Digital Marketing Group remains extremely exciting as marketing spend continues to shift towards online media channels and we remain confident about the future, despite the challenge the current economic climate poses."
