LONDON - Motors.co.uk, the used car website owned by Daily Mail & General Trust, has signed a partnership with Parker's - the UK's leading guide to second-hand car-buying.

Under the deal Motors.co.uk will become the sole supplier of used cars for sale on Parkers.co.uk and will look to challenge Auto Trader's dominance of the used car classifieds market.

Motors.co.uk said the alliance would also raise its own profile - giving the brand exposure to Parker's 1.2 million monthly visitors and raising the total number of visitors to its network to 3.3 million.

For Parker's, the deal will more than double the volume of cars available via its website.

UK car dealers advertising with Parkers.co.uk will now gain access to the Motors.co.uk network, which works with media brands including the Daily Mail, The Sun and Northcliffe Media's regional papers.

For internet users, the deal means they will be able to visit Motors.co.uk to access expert reviews and valuations provided by Parker's.

Motors.co.uk is part of Associated Northcliffe Digital, which is owned by DMGT. It charges people £9.99 to advertise their second-hand cars.
