Latest Churchill ad features TV presenter Melanie Sykes
LONDON - Churchill Insurance is rolling out a new campaign for its home insurance offer starring TV presenter Melanie Sykes, who famously appeared in bitter brand Boddington's TV campaign in the 1990s.

In the latest in its series of TV ads featuring celebrities, the Churchill dog is asked by a family if he can really offer 50% off home insurance if a consumer has not claimed over a five year period.
When he answers, ‘Yes,' he is dismissed by the mother, who says Churchill has claimed he is meeting Melanie Sykes in Paris, before cutting to a shot of the two by the Eiffel Tower.
‘This is actually the first time a celebrity has touched Churchill, as she reaches forward and strokes him. The use of humour in our adverts is always well received by audience,' said Matt Owen, head of campaigns at Churchill Insurance.
Earlier this year, TV presenters Rolf Harris and Roy Walker appeared in Churchill ads.

Not as good as the Roy Walker one by a long chalk. This campaign may have run its course.
