LONDON - The Department of Health (DH) and the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) have retained Naked Communications to handle communications planning for the Government's sexual health portfolio.

Naked Communications beat rival pitching agencies WPP-owned Mediaedge:cia and Omnicom's Manning Gottlieb OMD to the task, which focuses on teenage pregnancy as well as general sexual health issues.

The pitch which was handled by COI followed a strategic review held by DH and DCSF which recommended evolving the way campaigns are used to engage a broader audience of parents, teachers, young people and health care professionals.

The DH and DCSF also called a creative pitch for the sexual health portfolio last month, in which incumbent DLKW competes against VCCP, Leo Burnett and M&C Saatchi.
