AB InBev reports beer drinkers are trading down to value brands
LONDON - Beer drinkers are the latest consumers to trade down to cheaper products according to AB InBev, which has announced its second-quarter results.

Although its figures were better than expected, the brewery giant warned of a continued slowdown in demand in the second half of the year as consumers were switching to ‘vale' brands.
AB InBev, which produces Stella Artois and Beck's beers, has already produced a cheaper Stelle Artois 4% brand in anticipation of this down-trading but said that it would continue to focus on its global premium brands.
