LONDON - MTV UK has been forced to pull its American series It's On with Alexa Chung, from the UK schedule the day it was due to air after 'unforseen' rights issues.

The acquisition of the show was announced on Friday and was due to air today at 4pm. It has been broadcast in the US since April.

MTV has said that the show has only been cleared by the distributors for broadcast in the US.

The show is made by US independent producer Reveille, part of Elisabeth Murdoch's Shine Group, and is executive produced by Tim Healy, Sebastian Scott, Howard Owens and Mark Koops.

MTV's UK network had planned to run 19 stripped episodes of the show between Monday and Thursday at 4pm, three weeks after their US transmission.

What a shame. That will be missed, dreadfully.
