LONDON - Incisive Media, the publisher of titles including Investment Week and Accountancy Age, is on the verge of appointing Helen Alexander, former chief executive of The Economist Group, as its chairman.

Alexander could be announced as the new chairman as early as this week, The Sunday Telegraph said.

Alexander left The Economist Group in 2008 having joined in 1985 as marketing manager.

She took on a role as an adviser to Bain Capital, a private equity group, and is a non-executive director of Centrica and Rolls-Royce.

Incisive Media has recently finished a restructuring process that has seen creditors swap debt for a shareholding in the company, as well as the management, led by group chief executive Tim Weller, taking a stake in the company.
