Where the Wild Things Are app has monsters eat your contacts
LONDON - Warner Bros is bringing classic children's book Where the Wild Things Are to life through an animated iPhone app.
The film adaptation of the classic children's book by Maurice Sendak will be released next week and the iPhone app has been developed to promote the film.
The film follows Max, who misbehaves and is sent to his room without any supper. Once there, a jungle grows in his imagination and he sails across the sea to the land of the Wild Things. By winning a staring contest he is crowned their king, and befriended by monster Carol, but soon grows lonely and misses his family.

The free app lets users listen to the movie's sound track, see photos, watch trailers and interact with the star Carol.
Users can have a battle with Carol, watch him dance to music and see him eat your photos and contacts. Carol can be tickled and hit, he'll throw things at you, and you can put him to sleep at night.
