Sugar's digital signage company, Amscreen, has been appointed exclusive digital signage partner by the famous children's hospital for the next five years.
The deal will see Amscreen's signage units installed throughout the hospital in high-traffic areas such as waiting rooms, corridors, coffee shops and restaurants.
The screens will provide information for patients and visitors and promote the Friends scheme for supporters of the hospital.
The screens will also enable authorised staff to independently create and publish relevant information within their own areas.
Amscreen will also be running third party ads across the network, which will include national ad campaigns relevant to the environment, promotion of health products that can be purchased over the counter and other engaging content for patients and visitors.
Siadatan, Amscreen's business development manager, said: "Our digital signage screens are allowing hospitals and doctor's surgeries across the country to communicate with patients and keep them informed on a range of important health issues."

Despicable. Ads in hospitals are wrong.

But what if the ad requires urgent medical intervention; the addition of an apostrophe, the removal of an offensive celebrity, say?

I thought the previous winner Lee McQueen was handling AmScreen. Whatever happened to him? Maybe there's another interesting story to be told? Also, Jeremy, ads would be a good thing if they encourage people to wash their hands when visiting a hospital ...or after reading the trade press come to think of it.

I agree - some of them do bear the tell-tale marks of overt influence from a minor PR agency

Someone should create a reality TV show where they follow the Apprentice for a year and see what they actually do. If there's any credibility in the job they'd have better people apply. The Apprentice losses its charm when you watch it and think the people on it have only been selected because of their TV value \(i.e arrogance or looks) and not for their genuine talent. The Apprentice is in danger of facing what Big Brother has this year. They need to raise the bar on the candidates.
