Financial Times and CNBC jointly produce editorial series
LONDON - The Financial Times has partnered with CNBC to launch a series of supplements across the newspaper and online, supported by a TV series to run on CNBC.
The Future of Finance will launch in print on 19 October as a weekly tabloid supplement and will include contributions from Prime Minister Gordon Brown. A micro site will launch on FT.com and a four part CNBC television series will air across EMEA and Asia.
The series will be promoted with a marketing campaign across print and TV. It is supported by QFinance, which is an online financial resorce and aims to give expert guidance following what it calls ‘the biggest financial crisis for global capitalism in living memory'.
The series will be structured around four themes including, ‘the future of banks', ‘governance and regulation', ‘the future of financial markets and regulating bubbles' and ‘the future of the global economy'.
It will include in-depth analysis from Financial Times journalists, both in print and on-screen. Other contributors will include the chairman of Santander, Emilio Botín and Howard Davies, the director of the London School of Economics and Political Science. CNBC's Future of Finance coverage will be presented by Geoff Cutmore.
Print ads promoting the series launched today in The Financial Times and a TV campaign on CNBC will launch next week.
