NBC uses Hulu to debut shows, build buzz
Premiere season is in full swing, and NBC is using the Web to debut the premieres of five shows: Lipstick Jungle, 30 Rock, Chuck, Life, and Knight Rider.
The season premieres will be available on Hulu.com for the week prior to the shows' debuts on broadcast TV.
This tactic has built some buzz online, with bloggers spreading the word and fans looking forward to a sneak peek. Four of the shows are returning to the Peacock network, with Knight Rider the only new series. A television movie served as the backdoor pilot last season.
