LONDON - Ask.com is to ramp up its search service with a white label version of price comparison site PriceRunnner.co.uk.
The new channel is due to go live in early November in time for pre-Christmas shopping. Consumers searching for products on Ask.com will now be able to access PriceRunner's product information across more than 200 different categories and millions of products.

Oliver Hill, VP business development at Ask.com, said; "We want to be able to offer our customers a comprehensive variety of information to any shopping search that they may have. PriceRunner.co.uk appealed to us because it offers unbiased product information from the largest range of retailers possible and is focused on delivering on user experience in addition to price."
Ask.com has made moves to step up its position against rival search engine Google, with the television commercial, ‘Can Your Search Engine Do This?" making direct comparisons against the market leader. The television adverts were part of an integrated campaign, ‘Information Revolution', which helped to boost Ask.com's unique monthly user figures by more than 1 million, according to Nielsen//NetRatings.
