VCCP head of planning Simon Rich has left the agency after only six months and will be replaced by Matt Wyatt, who has been promoted from the role of senior planner. It is understood Rich has left without a job to go to. (Campaign)
Newsworks, the marketing body for the national newspaper industry, has appointed David Pattison as its chairman, replacing News International commercial managing director Paul Hayes. (Campaign)
Carat has promoted managing director Tracy De Groose to the new role of chief executive and she will report to Robert Horler, the chief executive of Aegis Media UK. (Campaign)
Profero has poached Tribal DDB's Matt Fenn to become its head of design, replacing Paul Hogarth, who left in April to join Inferno as a creative director. (Campaign)
Ian Billington and Paul Cartmell, the founders of Billington Cartmell Group, are leaving the agency after 22 years following the agency's sale to private equity firm Hutton Collins Partners. John Gellett and Rupert Howell have been appointed as the new chief executive and chairman respectively. (Campaign)
Gyro has appointed Mike Shackle as executive creative director of its London office, replacing Ian Kerrigan who leaves next month to pursue "personal projects". (Campaign)
TMW has appointed MPG Media Contacts head of data strategy Anna Foster to the newly created role of data director. (Campaign)
OgilvyAction has promoted business development director Richard Woodward to the newly created post of managing director. (Campaign)

Unilever has recruited former Premier Foods group marketer Jon Goldstone to oversee the company's food and ice-cream category in the UK and Ireland. Goldstone will take over Hazel Detsiny’s role as vice-president of brand-building, foods and ice cream, from next month, while she takes maternity leave. (Marketing)
Sony has handed UK and Ireland managing director Gildas Pelliet the role of head of marketing for Europe following a global restructure. Marketing in the UK will be led by Shaun Dorrington, with Matt Coombe remaining as head of brand and consumer activity. (Marketing)

Universal Music has hired Jennifer Hills, the global director of media partnerships at Carat, as senior director of commercial partnerships. Hill's appointment comes as Universal Music promotes Marc Robinson to oversee the UK business's commercial partnerships, "synchronisation" and Globe TV, the TV production arm. (Media Week)
News International former head of classified Luc Borg has joined mobile agency Grapple as it first commercial director. (Media Week)
Hearst Magazines has appointed Amanda Turnbull as group publishing director of Esquire and Harper's Bazaar. (Media Week)
Guardian News & Media has appointed Wolfgang Blau, the tech journalist turned entrepreneur, to the new role of director of digital strategy. (Media Week)
Yahoo chief executive Marissa Mayer has poached Henrique de Castro from Google, her former employer, to be chief operating officer. Since March, de Castro has been working vice president of Google’s partner business solutions worldwide, where he was responsible for advertising platforms and services for Google’s publisher and commerce partners. Channel 4 head of marketing Sarah Owen is leaving the commercial broadcaster after five years and will be replaced by James Walker, who has been covering her maternity leave. (Media Week)

Mastercard has appointed Neil Henderson as head of comms for UK and Ireland after poaching him from Visa Europe, where he was head of media for just four months. (PR Week)
Shine Communications has poached Reebok's EMEA PR head Richard Glennie, who will join the agency at director level. (PR Week)
Porter Novelli’s former head of corporate EMEA Alex Woolfall has joined Coca-Cola Europe as a consultant. (PR Week)
