Charlie Wilson and Emma de la Fosse are to be joint creative executive directors for OgilvyOne, effective from next month. Colin Nimick, the current executive creative director at OgilvyOne, will take an EU-wide role, working with Paul Smith, EMEA creative chief of Ogilvy & Mather, and Paul O'Donnell, Ogilvy Group UK chairman. Saatchi & Saatchi has appointment former Procter & Gamble boss Dina Howell as chief executive Worldwide of Saatchi & Saatchi X, replacing Andy Murray who becomes founder and chairman. Howell retired earlier this year as vice-president, global media and brand operations at Procter & Gamble, after 22 years. (Campaign)

Ogilvy & Mather has promoted Jaimes Leggett, its director of digital acceleration, to the position of managing director. Leggett will take on the new role in January and will report to O&M’s chief executive Hugh Baillie. (Campaign)

Skillset, the government-backed skills and training group, has appointed DDB UK's chairman and chief executive Stephen Woodford to its board. Woodford is also president of the National Advertising Benevolent Society (Nabs) and former president of the IPA. (Campaign)


Budget airline easyJet has hired Audi's top marketer Peter Duffy as its new marketing director. Duffy joins in the New Year and will be responsible for all the company’s marketing activity across Europe. He will work alongside the chief commercial officer, Dana Dunne, and will report directly to easyJet chief executive, Carolyn McCall. (Marketing)

Car and cycle specialist Halfords has appointed Gerry Murphy, former chief executive of 118 118 owner The Number, as group brand marketing director. Murphy left 118 118 in May and joins Halfords on 4 January. (Marketing)

Haymarket Brand Media has appointed Noelle McElhatton as editor of Marketing. She takes over from Gareth Jones, who leaves this month to join the digital agency Lbi. McElhatton is currently editor in the Brand Media Central’s Creative Solutions Group. (Marketing)

Soft-drinks manufacturer Britvic has hired Pamela Bower-Nye to the new role of international marketing director. Bower-Nye will report directly to Simon Stewart, Britvic’s group marketing director. (Marketing)


Jane Ratcliffe is relinquishing her role as chief executive of MediaCom, the UK's largest media agency, to become chairman. She will be replaced by Karen Blackett, currently chief operations director of EMEA. Ratcliffe has been chief executive of the WPP agency since September 2008, when she replaced Nick Lawson, who became chief executive of MediaCom EMEA. (Campaign)

Mark Cross is to take board responsibility for media buying at the Central Office of Information, as the beleaguered Government body confirms the departure of Corrine Purton and Jeremy Found. Purton, former director of channel integration, left the COI in November and Found, head of media will leave the COI early in 2011. (Campaign)

Bauer Media has called upon veteran FHM editor Ed Needham to redesign its flagship men's title in the hope it will offer more appeal to its readers. Needham, a former editor of FHM in the UK and the US, now runs the online publishing company Grand Parade. (Media Week)

News International has promoted financier Chris Longcroft to the newly created role of managing director, operations, ahead of Clive Milner's exit. Longcroft will be responsible for Newsprinters, the three News International-owned and managed sites, as well as the contract print sites across the UK, Ireland and the rest of Europe. (Media Week)

Global, the commercial radio company, has promoted Stephen Miron from Global Radio chief executive to Global Group chief executive, expanding his responsibility to the talent and publishing divisions of Global Group. Following Miron’s promotion, Global Radio founder and Global Group chief executive Ashley Tabor will take the role of founder and executive president. Commercial director Mike Gordon will become managing director of commercial. (Media Week)

Mail Newspapers is bolstering its media sell to clients and agencies with the internal appointment of Nigel Bromley to the new role of head of marketing for Mail Connected, its advertising division. Bromley, who joined the Daily Mail publisher in 2007, will take up the role in the New Year. (Media Week)
