Jeremy Craigen, DDB UK's executive creative director, is in talks about a role heading up the network's global Volkswagen account. Craigen, who has worked at the UK agency for nearly 22 years, and for the past seven as its sole executive creative director, is set to become the lead creative for DDB’s Team Blue, the division that runs the global VW business. VCCP has hired the Mother creative team, Faustin Claverie and Thierry Albert. The pair, who join VCCP as creative directors, moved to Mother a year ago and were responsible for writing the four-minute "pouring ritual" film for Stella Artois. (Campaign) 

Mark Iremonger, Proximity London's head of planning and digital, is leaving the agency after six years to join the search and social media shop iCrossing. Iremonger will take on the newly created role of head of strategy at the end of March, reporting to iCrossing's chief executive, Paul Doleman. (Campaign)

Initiative has boosted its senior team with the hiring of Anna Watkins, the group managing director at the digital shop Grand Union, as its managing director. (Campaign) 

Zenith Media has promoted its strategy director, Rian Shah, to the position of head of strategy. He replaces Hamid Habib, who last week joined MPG Media Contacts as the head of its strategy and research unit, Catalyst. (Campaign) 

TV has appointed Ben Allen to the new role of commercial director of Daybreak, as the broadcaster seeks to improve the fortunes of its early morning programming. (Campaign

   
Nigel Clarkson, sales and marketing director at Primesight, is leaving the outdoor media owner to join daily deals site LivingSocial as its head of sales for the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and the Nordic region. (Media Week)
   
Amazon has appointed former News International digital executive Alex Hole as advertising sales director. Hole was digital commercial director  at NI, responsible for activity across its websites. (Media Week)
 

Mindshare aims to boost its digital output with the recruitment of Nick Adams, who is returning to the WPP-owned agency after three years at rival Aegis. Adams joins Mindshare in the new role of head of digital development, working in its London office. (Media Week)

 

Future has hired IPC's Keith Walker in the new role of head of audience development for its games and film online properties. Walker, currently editor of Nuts.co.uk and Mousebreaker.com, will join Future on 1 April. (Media Week)

 

Telegraph Media Group has appointed agency manager Mike Allen to the new role of head of Olympic sales in the lead-up to London 2012. Allen, who joined TMG in 2008, will now focus on Olympics display ad sales across all of TMG's print and digital products, as the publisher hopes to wrestle adspend away from its rivals. Argos, the Home Retail Group-owned high-street business, has appointed US retail executive John Walden as managing director, effective this month. (Marketing)

Time Out, the London lifestyle magazine and media group, has lost its marketing director Andrew Booth to online retailer The Hut Group. Booth joined Time Out in October 2010, the same month private equity firm Oakley Capital acquired a 50% stake in the business. (Marketing)

Apple has hired John Browett , Dixons Retail chief executive and the former Tesco.com chief, to lead its retail strategy and the expansion of Apple stores around the world. (Marketing)

Npower has hired Axa marketer Debbie Britton to the post of director of customer marketing with a mandate to "rebuild trust" in the brand. Britton joined the energy company on 1 February from her role as strategic marketing director at insurer Axa UK, having previously held the position of head of marketing at Norwich and Peterborough Building Society. (Marketing)

Insurance giant RSA has added to its growing marketing team with the appointment of Sky marketer Hannah House as its new head of marketing communications. House joins RSA from her role as head of e-experience at Sky. (Marketing)

Yahoo has carried out a major restructure of its European marketing department and parted with its two most senior marketers in the region. James Tipple, vice-president for marketing at Yahoo EMEA, and Andrew Cocker, marketing director for EMEA, have both left the company. It is not known whether they have jobs to go to. (Marketing)
