QXL in auction deal with Coca-Cola

Online auction company QXL and Coca-Cola have struck a deal which means bidders will be able to use “Coke credits” to pay for goods.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - Online auction company QXL and Coca-Cola have struck a deal which means bidders will be able to use “Coke credits” to pay for goods.

The two companies are developing a new promotional auction site called cokeauction.co.uk, where online shoppers who register will be given 500 Coke credits. They can also collect credits from special ring pulls or labels from Coke cans and bottles.

Customers can also bid on the site to have their face on the Coca-Cola sign at Piccadilly Circus in London. The promotion, aimed at teenagers, will kick off in August.
