Cable & Wireless buys five European net firms

Cable & Wireless has announced the acquisition of another five European internet companies for £67m.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - Cable & Wireless has announced the acquisition of another five European internet companies for £67m.

The five firms are: Pictime, France; POP Point of Presence, Germany; Dutch firms Widexs and Impact Group; and Spanish company the Eaisa Group. The five have reported combined revenues of $40m.

C&W has bought 22 European internet companies since January 1999 and is now Europe’s third largest internet services company.
