Branson’s Virgin Blue airline delays maiden flight

Virgin Blue, the Australian domestic airline owned by Richard Branson, is to delay its maiden flight because of licence requirements.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - Virgin Blue, the Australian domestic airline owned by Richard Branson, is to delay its maiden flight because of licence requirements.

The launch was due on August 3, but now the company does not know when this will happen after it was discovered that it had failed to complete all the necessary documentation for an Air Operators Certificate.

Customers who have paid for flights up until the middle of August will be reimbursed, and sales have been temporarily suspended.
