Haircare drives sales at Estee Lauder

Aveda-branded products helped achieve a 38% climb in haircare product sales for cosmetic giant Estee Lauder. The division made sales of $113.9m, contributing to the company’s 10% increase in total sales to $998 in the fourth quarter.

LONDON (Brand Republic) – Aveda-branded products helped achieve a 38% climb in haircare product sales for cosmetic giant Estee Lauder. The division made sales of $113.9m, contributing to the company’s 10% increase in total sales to $998 in the fourth quarter.

The company, which also owns the Clinique, Mac and Origins brands, reported profits up to $57.2m from $50.4m for the same period last year. It said it would continue to invest in the online beauty site gloss.com and would further expand its internet strategy.
