Unicef transforms children's lives with 'useless' five cent coins

The Australian five cent coin has become almost worthless in the eyes of local consumers, with its value amounting to very little. But charitable group Unicef has created the '5 Fund' to put those five cent pieces to good use.

The video shows the lives of children and adults being revived from the essence of the silver coins, seeing them waiting at a water pump, carrying goods on their back, before the scene transforms to show children sitting at school desks.

The 5 Fund campaign is an extension of Unicef’s 'Change For Good' partnership with Australian airline Qantas.
