Knicker snapping trend takes off with women shoppers
LONDON - A growing number of women are snapping themselves on their camera phones in the lingerie they want for Christmas and sending the image to the man in their lives, according to Virgin Mobile.
"Knick pics", a term coined by Virgin Mobile, refers to the trend of women for asking sales assistants to take pictures of them in underwear on their mobile phone and then sending the picture message alongside their essential measurements to the inbox of their loved one, removing any excuses on Christmas Day when it comes to size or style.

Vivien Benson, marketing manager of Anne Summers, said: "It's a trend our staff have been noticing more and more, especially in the run-up to Christmas. Women have realised that if they want to receive the underwear set they want then this is an easy way to make it happen."
Simon Dornan, head of consumer PR for Virgin Mobile, said: "Picture messaging has changed the way we communicate as a nation, and it's great to think that the 'Knick Pics' trend we have identified could mean an end to unhappy women on Christmas Day morning.
"Outside of the lingerie departments, the phenomenon of people using their camera phone to aid the stress of Christmas shopping is something we predict will continue to grow."
