RKCR/Y&R tops creativity table for press advertising
LONDON - Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R has topped the 2006 league table of the most creative agencies for newspaper advertising.
In a close contest, RKCR/Y&R beat Bartle Bogle Hegarty to the accolade by a single point on the back of work for clients such as Land Rover and Virgin Mobile.
James Murphy, chief executive at RKCR/Y&R, said: "We're delighted to come top of the table. Newspapers are an increasingly colourful and dynamic environment to advertise in t- that means you've got to work harder than ever to do justice to the media."

Wieden & Kennedy took third place in the 2006 league table, with Channel 4's in-house creative division, 4Creative, securing fourth spot.
The table represents the agencies with the most monthly nominations. On Wednesday evening, the Newspaper Marketing Agency organised awards will hand out prizes for best single most creative execution with the winner collecting £25,000 in prize money.
Other awards include prizes for copywriting, art direction and creative media partnership, recognising the most successful collaboration between a creative agency and a media agency.
Lowe London topped the league table in 2005 based on a large body of work for Tesco. The agency then went on to scoop the top award for one its Tesco executions.
