Decoder unveils Christmas packaging for Glenfiddich

LONDON - Decoder has unveiled a range of Christmas gift packs for whisky brand Glenfiddich that have been designed for sale beyond the festive period.

The design for the Glenfiddich range uses different colours to reflect the variety of tastes available. This includes the use of green for the 12-year-old Special Reserve and red for its 15-year-old Solera Reserve range.

It is hoped that the designs, on round tins, will not only appeal to consumers beyond the traditionally festive period but also across 29 markets, including Australia, the UK, France and Germany.

Sylvia Lowe, Glenfiddich global brand manager, said: "Aesthetically the packs strike a great balance between subtle specialness, which makes it perfect for seasonal gifting, and enduring design that will be attractive all year round. The tins are masculine in shape and feel but remain attractive to female gifters, who can be up to 60% of malt whiskey buyers."

The design team includes Decoder director Ailbhe Phelan, with reprographics and print handled by Crown & McLellans.
